FieldN back office — inventory and purchasingField service inventory software: parts from the purchase order to the job card
Filters, compressors, cables and valves leave the store every morning and nobody knows which job they went to. FieldN follows every part from the purchase order to the job card.
Quick answer
FieldN inventory is the stock desk of the back office. The catalogue holds your services and parts with categories, variants and price lists. Parts are stocked by warehouse — a store, a branch or a technician's van — with stock levels, every transaction and transfers between them. Purchase orders go to vendors, goods are received into stock, vendor bills and payments are tracked and returns go back. When a technician records parts used on the field app, the part comes off that warehouse, lands on the invoice and costs the job. Stock movements post to the books. See everything in FieldN.
What the stock desk does
One catalogue
Services and parts with categories, variants (size, capacity, brand), price lists and tax.
Stock by warehouse
A store, each branch and each technician's van can be a warehouse with its own stock levels.
Transfers
Move parts from the store to a van or a branch; every movement is a transaction you can trace.
Purchase orders
Raise POs to vendors, receive goods into stock, record the vendor bill and pay it; returns go back to the vendor.
Parts used per job
The technician picks the parts on the job; they come off stock, go on the invoice and cost the job.
Stock in the books
Purchases, usage and transfers post to the ledger, so stock value and cost of jobs are real numbers.
Three apps, one system: a booking portal and app for your customers, a technician app for Android and iPhone, and the office back end for dispatch, contracts, stock, invoices and HR. See all FieldN features.
A part, start to finish
- Order: the store raises a purchase order for 50 AC filters to the vendor.
- Receive: the filters are received into the main store; the vendor bill is recorded and later paid.
- Transfer: 10 filters move to technician Ali's van warehouse.
- Use: on an AC service job Ali records 2 filters used; the van stock drops by 2 and the filters appear on the invoice.
- Report: the inventory report shows stock by warehouse and the job report shows parts cost against the job.

Field service inventory software — frequently asked questions
Can I track stock in technicians' vans?
Yes. Each van can be a warehouse. Transfer parts from the store to the van, and parts used on a job come off that van's stock.
Do parts used on a job go on the invoice?
Yes. The technician records parts used in the field app; they appear on the invoice and cost the job.
Does FieldN handle purchase orders and vendors?
Yes. Raise purchase orders, receive goods into stock, record vendor bills, pay vendors and send returns back. Vendor statements come from the books.
Is stock value in the accounts?
Yes. Purchases, usage and transfers post to the ledger, so stock value and job cost are real numbers in the books.
