MC-POS Cloud on Apple

MC-POS Cloud for iPhone, iPad and Mac: the POS billing app on the App Store, and the Mac app for Apple Silicon and Intel

By Yoonus C, founder of Mycodlabs Technologies (makers of MC-POS)  ·   ·  6 min read

Quick answer

MC-POS Cloud runs natively on every Apple device. The iPhone and iPad app is on the App Store, where it is listed as "POS Billing App, POS App" (seller: Yoonus Cheroor, founder of Mycodlabs). The Mac app is a .dmg download from this site, built separately for Apple Silicon (M1, M2, M3, M4) and Intel Macs.

All three open the same business as your Android and Windows tills: POS billing, tax invoices, stock, purchases, full accounting, e-invoicing and AI reports — and they keep billing when the internet drops. Free to start.

Not sure which Mac you have? Apple menu → About This Mac. "Chip: Apple M…" means Apple Silicon; "Processor: Intel" means Intel.

The iPhone and iPad app: what it is called on the App Store

Search engines show our Android app on Google Play and our Windows app on the Microsoft Store under the name MC-POS Cloud. On the App Store the same app is published under the name "POS Billing App, POS App", by seller Yoonus Cheroor — the founder of Mycodlabs Technologies. That is why a search for "MC-POS iOS" or "MCPOS iPhone" may not show the App Store page yet.

Three ways to get it:

  1. Open the App Store listing on your iPhone or iPad and tap Get.
  2. In the App Store app, search for POS Billing App, POS App and look for the MC-POS icon.
  3. On an iPhone or iPad, open mycodlabs.com/mcpos-cloud in Safari — a banner at the top offers the app.

Once installed, the app opens as MC-POS Cloud. Sign in with the same email and password as on the web, or scan the QR code shown in your back office, and your products, customers and bills are there.

What you get on iPhone and iPad: billing with the camera as a barcode scanner, tax invoices with GST / VAT, held bills and split payments, returns, van sales with per-van stock, restaurant tables and kitchen tickets (Restaurant plan), customer dues and collections, stock and purchases, the full accounts, e-invoicing, and the owner's view of every till with AI insights. See the detailed iPhone page and iPad page.

POS billing on a Mac: Apple Silicon and Intel

Most POS vendors send Mac users to a browser tab. MC-POS Cloud is a real macOS app — it sits in your Dock, opens in a second, talks straight to your receipt printer and keeps billing with no internet. Because Apple now sells two kinds of Mac, we build it twice:

  • Apple Silicon build — for every Mac with an Apple M1, M2, M3 or M4 chip (MacBook Air and Pro from 2020 on, iMac 24-inch, Mac mini M1 and newer, Mac Studio). Runs natively on the chip, so it is fast and light on battery. Download the Apple Silicon .dmg.
  • Intel build — for Intel MacBooks, iMacs and Mac minis, macOS 12 or newer recommended. Same features, same business. Download the Intel .dmg.

Install on a Mac in four steps

  1. Download the .dmg for your chip (links above) and open it from Downloads.
  2. Drag MC-POS Cloud into the Applications folder, then eject the disk image.
  3. Open MC-POS Cloud from Applications or Launchpad. The first open shows a short macOS message because the app comes from our site and not from the Mac App Store. Close it, open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down and click Open Anyway next to MC-POS Cloud, then open the app again. (On macOS 13 or 14: right-click the app, choose Open, then Open.) This happens only once.
  4. Sign in with your MC-POS account, or create a free business. Your products, customers and bills sync in.

What the Mac is good at

  • Keyboard billing. Tap Desktop billing for the keyboard layout: Item → Qty → Rate → Less with Enter between boxes, an editable grid, totals bottom right and F-keys (F2 customer, F3 item, F4 bill discount, F9 checkout). On a MacBook hold fn for the F-keys.
  • The back office. Purchases and goods receipt, supplier payments, the accounts, stock value, tax reports, payroll and AI insights, while the iPads and Android terminals keep billing.
  • Printing. USB printers added in System Settings → Printers & Scanners, paired Bluetooth printers, or LAN / Wi-Fi printers by IP (port 9100). The first time, macOS asks to let MC-POS find devices on your local network — say Allow. A cash drawer on the receipt printer opens through it; A4 invoices go to any printer or to PDF.
  • Offline. Products, customers and today's bills live on the Mac, so a Wi-Fi drop never stops the counter.

One business on every Apple device — and on Android and Windows too

A common Apple setup is an iPad at the counter, the Mac in the office and the owner's iPhone everywhere else. Each device signs in with its own staff login, bills on its own when the internet drops, and syncs to one cloud. Add an Android POS machine with a built-in printer or a Windows touch terminal and it joins the same business — the owner still sees every till, every drawer and every due from the iPhone.

Prices are the same on every platform: free to start, then from $36 a year for 2 users. See MC-POS pricing.

MC-POS on iPhone, iPad and Mac — frequently asked questions

Is MC-POS Cloud on the App Store?

Yes. On the App Store the app is listed as "POS Billing App, POS App" (seller: Yoonus Cheroor, the founder of Mycodlabs Technologies). It is the same MC-POS Cloud app as on Google Play and the Microsoft Store, for iPhone and iPad on iOS 16 or newer.

Why can I not find "MC-POS" when I search the App Store?

The App Store listing is named "POS Billing App, POS App", so an App Store search for "MC-POS" may not show it. Search for "POS Billing App, POS App", or open the App Store link on this page. The app opens as MC-POS Cloud and signs in to the same business.

Is there a Mac version of MC-POS?

Yes. MC-POS Cloud has a native macOS app, built separately for Apple Silicon Macs (M1, M2, M3, M4) and for Intel Macs. Download the .dmg for your chip from this page or from the MC-POS download page, open it and drag MC-POS Cloud into Applications.

Which Mac download do I need — Apple Silicon or Intel?

Click the Apple menu and choose About This Mac. If it shows "Chip: Apple M1" (or M2, M3, M4), use the Apple Silicon download. If it shows "Processor: Intel", use the Intel download. The two builds have the same features.

macOS says it could not verify MC-POS Cloud. What do I do?

The Mac app is downloaded from our site, not from the Mac App Store, so macOS asks once before the first open. Close the message, open System Settings, go to Privacy & Security, scroll down and click "Open Anyway" next to MC-POS Cloud, then open the app again. On macOS 13 and 14 you can also right-click the app and choose Open. This happens only once.

Does the iPhone or iPad app print receipts?

Yes, to Bluetooth LE thermal printers and to Wi-Fi or LAN printers by IP address. Apple does not let any app use classic Bluetooth printers that pair with a PIN, so check for "BLE", "Bluetooth 4.0" or "works with iOS" before you buy a printer. You can also share a bill as a PDF or link on WhatsApp.

Does MC-POS work offline on Apple devices?

Yes. iPhone, iPad and Mac keep your products, customers and the day's bills on the device, so billing and printing carry on with no internet, and everything syncs when you are back online.

Can I use a Mac in the office and iPads at the counter?

Yes. All of them sign in to the same business. Bills, stock, customers and dues are shared, and the owner sees every till from the Mac, from an iPhone, or from any browser. Android and Windows devices join the same business too.

Is the Apple app free?

MC-POS Cloud is free to start on every platform. Paid plans begin at 36 US dollars a year for 2 users and add accounting, e-invoicing, HR, the online store and restaurant features.
