POS app for Android tablet

The POS billing app for Android tablets and phones

You do not need a special POS machine. A normal Android tablet or phone, a Bluetooth printer and MC-POS Cloud give you billing and tax invoices, restaurant orders and KOT, purchases, stock, accounting, staff, e-invoicing and AI insights — for the price of the tablet.

Quick answer

Yes — MC-POS Cloud runs on any Android tablet or phone with Android 6.0 or newer, from a Samsung Galaxy Tab or Lenovo Tab to a Redmi, Realme, Vivo, OPPO or Pixel phone. Install it from Google Play and sign up free.

Android is the easiest platform for printers: Bluetooth, USB (OTG) and network printers all work, and the camera scans barcodes. Billing works with no internet.

How to install MC-POS on an Android tablet or phone

  1. Install the app. Open Google Play and install MC-POS Cloud. No Play Store on the device? Write to us and we will send the APK.
  2. Create your business. Sign up free inside the app, or on mcpos.mycodlabs.com, and add your products, taxes and outlet.
  3. Pick the printer. Settings → Printers. Choose a paired Bluetooth printer, a USB printer on an OTG cable, or type the IP of a network printer.
  4. Start billing. Scan or tap an item, take cash, card, UPI or credit, print or share the bill. The same business opens on every phone, tablet, terminal and computer you add.

MC-POS needs Android 6.0 or newer and about 150 MB free. It bills with no internet and syncs when the connection is back.

Printing bills from an Android tablet or phone

Android works with the widest range of receipt printers:

  • Bluetooth — pair the printer once in Android Bluetooth settings (PIN usually 0000 or 1234), then choose it in MC-POS.
  • USB — a USB thermal printer on an OTG cable or a USB-C hub.
  • Network — LAN or Wi-Fi printers by IP address (port 9100), usually for the kitchen.

58 mm and 80 mm ESC/POS printers from Xprinter, Rongta, Gainscha, GOOJPRT, Epson and others all work. A cash drawer on the printer opens through it, and barcode labels print as bitmaps from the Label Studio.

What you can run on an Android tablet or phone

On an Android tablet, MC-POS is a full POS and back office:

Billing & invoices

Barcode or touch billing, held bills, split payment, cash / card / UPI / credit, tax invoices, 80 mm and 58 mm receipts and A4 invoices, sales returns and refunds.

Orders & tables

Take-away and dine-in orders, tables and floors, KOT printing to the kitchen, split payment, service charge and tips, QR menu ordering (Restaurant plan).

Purchases & suppliers

Purchase orders, goods receipt, purchase returns, landed cost, supplier dues and payments — so your cost price and profit are real, not guessed.

Stock & inventory

Batches and expiry, variants and units, racks, multi-warehouse stock, transfers, adjustments, stock value and a full stock ledger.

Accounting built in

Every bill posts itself: ledgers, journal, trial balance, P&L, balance sheet, cash drawer, bank accounts, expenses and fiscal-year close.

Staff & HR

User roles and permissions per counter, shifts and attendance, salary, payouts, commissions and an employee self-service app (Advanced plan).

Tax & e-invoicing

GST / VAT with inclusive or exclusive prices, tax breakdown on the bill, Saudi ZATCA and UAE VAT e-invoicing with QR (Advanced plan).

AI that works for you

Ask your data a question in plain English, AI sales insights and stock alerts, AI-written WhatsApp and campaign messages, AI reports you can export (add-on).

The same business also opens on Android, iPhone, iPad, Windows, macOS and the web — so the owner can watch every counter from anywhere. See everything in MC-POS Cloud.

The cheapest complete POS setup

A mid-range Android tablet, a 80 mm Bluetooth printer and a cash drawer cost far less than an all-in-one POS terminal — and with MC-POS they do the same job: barcode billing, tax invoices, returns, stock, purchases and day-end reports. Add a second tablet or a phone as another till whenever you grow.

Restaurants on Android tablets

Tables, dine-in and take-away orders, KOT to the kitchen printer, service charge and tips, and QR menu ordering (Restaurant plan) — on a counter tablet, with waiters taking orders on their phones. See the restaurant POS system.

Offline first

Everything you need to bill is stored on the tablet. If the Wi-Fi or SIM drops, keep billing; MC-POS syncs when the network returns.
