POS billing software for Toshiba TCx terminals
Toshiba TCx terminals are built for big supermarket lanes — and many end up on the second-hand market for smaller shops, without software. MC-POS Cloud runs on them as a Windows app: billing and tax invoices, purchases, stock, accounting, staff, e-invoicing and AI.
Quick answer
Yes — MC-POS Cloud runs on Toshiba TCx terminals that run Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit). Install it with the .msi installer, sign up free, choose the receipt printer and start billing.
Terminals that came with Toshiba's own retail system or with Windows 7 / POSReady need a fresh Windows 10 or 11 first.
How to install MC-POS on a Toshiba TCx
- Install the app. Get MC-POS Cloud from the Microsoft Store, or download the .msi installer from the MC-POS download page. Use the .msi on POS terminals with Windows IoT Enterprise — the Store is usually switched off there.
- Create your business. Sign up free inside the app, or on mcpos.mycodlabs.com, and add your products, taxes and outlet.
- Pick the printer. Settings → Printers. Pick the receipt printer from the Windows printer list, or type the IP of a network printer.
- Start billing. Scan or tap an item, take cash, card, UPI or credit, print or share the bill. The same business opens on every phone, tablet, terminal and computer you add.
MC-POS needs Windows 10 or Windows 11, 64-bit (Home, Pro or IoT Enterprise), 4 GB of RAM or more and about 1 GB free disk. It bills with no internet and syncs when the connection is back.
Toshiba TCx models that run MC-POS
The TCx range is sold in many configurations. MC-POS cares only that the terminal runs Windows 10 / 11 64-bit.

Printing bills from a Toshiba TCx
TCx lanes normally use a thermal receipt printer and a cash drawer. If the printer speaks ESC/POS and is installed in Windows (USB or a COM port with its driver), MC-POS prints to it like any Windows app. Network printers by IP work too. Some Toshiba printers use their own command set instead of ESC/POS — tell us the printer model and we will tell you whether it works.
What you can run on a Toshiba TCx
With MC-POS on it, a TCx terminal runs the whole shop, not just the lane:
Billing & invoices
Barcode or touch billing, held bills, split payment, cash / card / UPI / credit, tax invoices, 80 mm and 58 mm receipts and A4 invoices, sales returns and refunds.
Orders & tables
Take-away and dine-in orders, tables and floors, KOT printing to the kitchen, split payment, service charge and tips, QR menu ordering (Restaurant plan).
Purchases & suppliers
Purchase orders, goods receipt, purchase returns, landed cost, supplier dues and payments — so your cost price and profit are real, not guessed.
Stock & inventory
Batches and expiry, variants and units, racks, multi-warehouse stock, transfers, adjustments, stock value and a full stock ledger.
Accounting built in
Every bill posts itself: ledgers, journal, trial balance, P&L, balance sheet, cash drawer, bank accounts, expenses and fiscal-year close.
Staff & HR
User roles and permissions per counter, shifts and attendance, salary, payouts, commissions and an employee self-service app (Advanced plan).
Tax & e-invoicing
GST / VAT with inclusive or exclusive prices, tax breakdown on the bill, Saudi ZATCA and UAE VAT e-invoicing with QR (Advanced plan).
AI that works for you
Ask your data a question in plain English, AI sales insights and stock alerts, AI-written WhatsApp and campaign messages, AI reports you can export (add-on).
The same business also opens on Android, iPhone, iPad, Windows, macOS and the web — so the owner can watch every counter from anywhere. See everything in MC-POS Cloud.
Second-hand TCx terminals
Ex-supermarket TCx terminals are solid and cheap. Put Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit) on one, install MC-POS, and a small supermarket or pharmacy gets enterprise hardware with modern software — barcode billing, batches and expiry, multi-warehouse stock and full accounting.
Keyboard billing on a POS keyboard
Desktop billing in MC-POS is built for fast keyboard counters: an entry row, an editable grid and F-keys (F3 item, F4 discount, F9 checkout). A scanner types straight into the item box.
