Quick answer

The MC-POS restaurant POS gives a Saudi restaurant tables and floors, KOT printing to each kitchen, QR menu ordering from the table and order-taking on the waiter's phone — and every bill is a ZATCA e-invoice. Dine-in and takeaway bills are simplified invoices, signed on the till with the QR code even when the internet drops, and reported within 24 hours. A catering or company order to a buyer with a VAT number is cleared by ZATCA as a tax invoice. Bills print in Arabic and English.

It is all in the Restaurant Full Suite plan. The ZATCA rules are explained in our ZATCA Phase 2 guide.

What a Saudi restaurant needs from a POS — and how MC-POS does it

Tables and floors

See which tables are free, running or billed, floor by floor. Add more rounds to the same table any time.

KOT to each kitchen

Each order prints at the right station — grill, mandi, juice bar — with only the items that station makes and any note for the cook.

QR menu ordering

Guests scan the table QR, see the menu and order. The order reaches the POS with a sound alert.

Orders on the waiter's phone

Waiters take the order at the table on their own phone and send it straight to the kitchen.

ZATCA on every bill

Dine-in and takeaway bills are signed on the till with the ZATCA QR; company orders are cleared as tax invoices. Each till is onboarded once with an OTP.

Keeps going when the internet drops

Billing, KOT printing and ZATCA signing keep working; the till reports to ZATCA when it is back online.

Split payment, service charge, tips

Take part cash and part card, add a service charge, and credit tips to the waiter.

Takeaway and delivery

Fast takeaway billing, and commission-free online ordering from your own link.

One business, every device: the counter, the owner's phone and the back-office computer share the same data — Android, iPhone, Windows, macOS and the web. See all MC-POS Cloud features.

ZATCA rules for restaurant bills

  • A bill to a diner is a simplified tax invoice. Under Phase 2 it must be signed, carry the ZATCA QR code and be reported to ZATCA within 24 hours. MC-POS does all three from the till.
  • A catering or company order to a buyer with a VAT number is a tax invoice. It must be cleared by ZATCA before you share it, and show the buyer's VAT number and national address.
  • The bill must be in Arabic. MC-POS prints Arabic and English together.
  • VAT is 15%. Set your menu prices with VAT included or added on top — the bill shows the VAT either way.
  • Each till is its own EGS unit. A second cashier counter is onboarded with its own OTP.

Everything else is in the ZATCA Phase 2 guide.

A service with MC-POS

  1. Before service: open the till — onboarded once with ZATCA — and the floor plan shows today's tables.
  2. Order: the waiter takes the order on the phone, or the guest orders from the table QR.
  3. Kitchen: the KOT prints at the right station; add more rounds to the table any time.
  4. Bill: print the ZATCA bill with the QR code, add service charge or a tip, and take cash, card or split payment.
  5. Close: check the day's sales and best dishes and print the day-end report — the till reports any offline bills to ZATCA.

Which MC-POS plan to choose

The Restaurant Full Suite has tables, KOT printing, QR menu and online ordering, plus everything in Advanced — including ZATCA e-invoicing — for 4 users: admin, waiter, kitchen and cashier. A takeaway counter without tables can use Advanced for ZATCA billing. See plans and prices.

Frequently asked questions

Is the MC-POS restaurant POS ZATCA compliant?

Yes. Every bill from an MC-POS till is a ZATCA Phase 2 e-invoice. Diner bills are signed on the till with the QR code and reported within 24 hours; company orders are cleared by ZATCA as tax invoices.

Does a restaurant bill need a ZATCA QR code?

Yes. A restaurant bill to a diner is a simplified tax invoice. Under Phase 2 it must be signed, carry the ZATCA QR code and be reported to ZATCA within 24 hours.

What happens if the internet goes down during service?

MC-POS Android and desktop tills keep billing, keep printing KOTs and keep signing ZATCA bills with the QR code. They report the bills to ZATCA as soon as the connection returns, inside the 24-hour window.

Can orders print in the kitchen automatically?

Yes. Each order prints as a KOT at the right kitchen or bar, with only the items that station makes.

Can guests order from the table with a QR code?

Yes. Guests scan the table QR, see your menu and order. The order reaches the POS with a sound alert.

Can I run more than one branch?

Yes. Each branch has its own tables, kitchens and tills, each till onboarded with ZATCA on its own, and you see reports for one branch or all of them.
