VAT and e-invoicing for UAE restaurants
- A bill to a diner is a simplified tax invoice with 5% VAT. It is out of scope of UAE e-invoicing for now, so you print it as usual.
- A catering or company order to a VAT-registered buyer needs a full tax invoice with both TRNs — and from 2027 it must go through your Accredited Service Provider. MC-POS sends it for you.
- Menu prices: set them with VAT included or added on top — the bill shows the VAT either way.

Is MC-POS good for a small café or restaurant in Dubai?
Yes. It runs on a phone, tablet or computer you already have, bills offline, and adds tables, KOT printing and QR ordering on the Restaurant plan.
Do restaurant bills need e-invoicing in the UAE?
Not for now. Bills to diners are B2C sales, which are out of scope of UAE e-invoicing. Catering or company invoices to VAT-registered buyers must go through an Accredited Service Provider from 2027, and MC-POS sends them for you.
