Printing from the app

Receipts, kitchen tickets and labels from Bluetooth, USB or network printers.

Steps

  1. Pair the printer

Pair Bluetooth in the operating system first — Android or iOS settings, or your desktop's Bluetooth panel — then choose the printer in the app. USB and network printers are selected in the app. On macOS and Linux the printer must already exist as a system print queue.

  2. Set the paper width

58mm or 80mm. The wrong width is the usual cause of a cut-off receipt.

  3. Test

Use the test print before the first customer, not during.

  4. Kitchen tickets

Route each station to its own printer.

  5. Labels

Barcode and price labels print to a label printer.

Good to know

  • Arabic and other non-Latin receipts print as an image so the characters are always correct, whatever the printer supports.
