Service charges

Service charge, delivery fee, packing — extra amounts added to a sale, each with its own tax treatment.

Steps

1. Open it

   Finance → Service Charges.

2. Add a charge

   Name it as it should print. Set it as a percentage or a fixed amount.

3. Set its tax

   A charge can be taxed at its own rate.

4. Decide when it applies

   Automatically on every sale, only on dine-in, or manually.

Good to know

• Sign-up creates a set of charges already switched off, so nothing is added to a sale until you decide it should be.
