Reading the dashboard

The first screen after sign-in: today at a glance, plus the trend of the last few weeks.

Steps

1. The number tiles

   Sales, orders, and what is owed to you, for the period shown. These follow the accounting date at the top of the screen, not the clock on your computer.

2. The trend chart

   Several series on one chart so you can see sales against costs and profit over the same days rather than flicking between reports.

3. Low stock

   Products that have fallen to or below their reorder point. Click through to raise a purchase order.

4. The left menu

   Grouped the same way this guide is. Press Ctrl+K (Cmd+K on a Mac) to search the menu instead of scrolling it.

Good to know

• A section missing from your menu usually means your business type does not use it, or your subscription package does not include it — not that it is broken.
