Expense categories

The list behind the category box on an expense, and how each one lands in your accounts.

Steps

1. Open it

   Finance → Expense Categories.

2. Add a category

   The name you give it is the account it posts to, so name it the way it should read in your books.

3. Mark assets separately

   Buying a fridge is not an expense, it is an asset. Flag those categories so they are not treated as running costs.
