Kitchen Display

A screen for the kitchen, instead of paper or alongside it: every open ticket with its age, dish by dish.

Steps

1. Open it

   The Kitchen Display tile on the app's home screen. Put it on a tablet or screen in the kitchen.

2. Pick the kitchen

   The chips at the top show All or one kitchen, so the grill sees only its own tickets.

3. Read a ticket

   Table, kitchen, ticket number and the minutes since it was sent, then each dish with its quantity and the cook's note.

4. Work the ticket

   Start Preparing when a cook picks it up, Mark Ready when it is plated. Hold a dish that should wait — mains after starters — and Fire it when it is time.

Good to know

• A ticket marked ready shows on the till's Live Orders, so the cashier knows the table can be settled.
• A kitchen phone or tablet can show the same board: sign in to the waiter app with a kitchen staff account.
