Loyalty points

Customers earn points as they spend and redeem them against future purchases.

Steps

1. Open it

   Loyalty → Loyalty Program.

2. Set the earn rate

   How many points per unit of currency spent.

3. Set the redemption value

   What a point is worth when spent, and the minimum balance before it can be used.

4. Earning

   Points are added when a sale is completed against a named customer. A walk-in earns nothing.

5. Redeeming

   On the POS payment step, apply the customer's points. The value comes off the sale.

Good to know

• The balance is decided by the server, not the till, so the same points cannot be spent twice on two terminals.
• Points redeemed appear as a discount in your sales reports and are posted to their own account in the books.
