Payment methods

The tender buttons on the POS payment screen, and which account each one settles to.

Steps

1. Open it

   Finance → Payment Methods.

2. Add a method

   Cash, each card machine, each wallet, bank transfer, credit.

3. Attach an account

   This is the important part: say which bank account or cash account the money lands in. Without it, takings go to a holding account and someone has to sort them out later.

4. Mark credit methods

   A credit tender must be marked as credit, so MCPOS knows no money actually moved.

5. Order them

   Put your busiest tender first.

Good to know

• If card takings are not appearing on your bank screen, the card method has no bank account attached.
