Bill and close a table

From the bill to a free table: print the bill, take the payment, and the table is ready for the next guests.

Steps

1. Print the bill

   On Table View, select the table and press Print — or Print Bill on the order screen. The guests get their bill and the table turns green, waiting to be paid.

2. Take the payment

   Bill (or Checkout on the order screen) opens the payment screen with the table's order. Take cash, card or a split across several payment methods, add a tip, and finish.

3. The table frees itself

   Once paid, the order becomes an invoice and the table goes back to blank.

4. The waiter stays on the bill

   The invoice keeps the name of the waiter who took the order, so the waiter-wise report and the bill's detail page show who served it.

Good to know

• Add a service charge or a discount on the Live Orders settle window before you invoice.
• A takeaway or counter bill needs no table: use the normal sales screen, with Ask for table off or skipped.
