Trial balance

Every account with its balance, debits on one side and credits on the other. They must agree.

Steps

  1. Open it

    Accounting → Trial Balance.

  2. Choose the date

    The balances are as at that date.

  3. Check the totals agree

    They will, because every entry MC-POS writes is balanced.

  4. Use it as a health check

    Compare stock to your stock levels screen and cash to your drawer. A gap points at something recorded outside the normal flow.
